The Matrox® Monarch EDGE is a multi-channel broadcast H.264 contribution encoder capable of transporting 4:2:2 10-bit video at resolutions up to 3840x2160 at 60 fps. This low-power appliance with a compact half-width 1RU footprint is equally suited as a 4K web-contribution encoder or as a remote-feed encoder for remote integration (REMI) applications.

Part of the larger family of Matrox encoders, Matrox Monarch EDGE supports a number of encapsulation and transport protocols to deliver video over GigE networks. The optimized H.264 codec minimizes encoding latencies to enable live production applications while also keeping data rates exceptionally low—and without sacrificing quality.
A powerful PC application offers control and configuration capabilities for single or multiple devices from a comprehensive interface. Whether targeting traditional web contribution applications, REMI, or remote from home (RFH) solutions, ISV and OEMs can take advantage of a flexible RESTful API for custom development and integration.
